My Thai Yoga Bodywork journey began during my travels & studies in Asia between 2012-2015. I heard about a village outside Chiang Mai, Thailand where I could study Traditional Thai massage while practicing yoga and meditation each day. I immediately signed up and fell in love with the meditative practice.
What is it?
Thai Yoga Massage is a form of healing touch that helps relieve muscular tension, improves circulation, and balance the energetic body. Thai Massage has a long history of therapeutic healing. Traditional Thai massage works not only with the physical body but with the energetic body as well. Working pressure along the energy lines can help free and release any blockages in the body and help restore our natural state of well-being. Hands, elbows, knees and feet are used with gravity to find the perfect pressure and stretch for each person. Through the series of stretches, assisted yoga postures, and energy line work you'll receive a full body treatment and feel spacious & relaxed, almost as though you've just finished a yoga class--hence the name Thai Yoga Massage!
Thai Yoga Bodywork is performed on a mat on the floor; please dress in comfortable clothing to allow ease of movement. Make sure to give yourself plenty of digestion time before your appointment!
